Speedbox: a home for motorcycle enthusiasts
With Speedbox we have created a place for our customers where they can leave their motorized treasure in safekeeping. A place where at the speed bar, in the middle of our small racing museum, gasoline discussions take place over a fine espresso.
Speedbox is a home for racing enthusiasts. A space for friends of motorcycling, to meet to dream and enjoy. In short: Speedbox is more than our business - it is our calling! We are very happy to share this passion with you, whether in our workshop, in the racing museum, at the speed bar or at one of our events on the racetrack.

Mauri
Owner der Speedbox
Maurizio "Mauri" Bäumle, manager and owner of Speedbox, whizzed around on a minibike before he could even move a bike. The later learned profession as a toolmaker further supported the affinity for technology and engines.
During his youth he successfully competed in Superbike & Supersport races. He then devoted himself to his professional career in the telecommunications industry which lasted 15 years. 8 years thereof in the management of global account teams for the support of large international corporations. During this time, too, he always remained connected to motorcycling and specialized part-time in the restoration of GP machines, as well as tuning and optimizing racing motorcycles. Many of them can now be viewed at Speedbox.
In 2016 and 2017 he was CEO of the Swiss engineering and motorcycle manufacturer Suter Industries AG, where he was responsible, among other things, for the return to the Moto2 World Championship and the development of Suter's US partner Arch Motorcycle. With Speedbox, he made his lifelong dream come true in 2018.

With David Spitznagel, Speedbox has landed a real mechanic jewel. In 2014 David took an outstanding 2nd place at the Swiss motorcycle mechanic championship.
His passion for motorcycles and technology as well as precise and exact work are fascinating. It is also impressive that he undertook a 6-month trip across South America alone with his KTM 450 Rally (ex Cyril Despres) at the age of 21. 27,000Km in 6 months - that shows perseverance!
David is an avid off-roader, but has discovered his love for moving race bikes fast on the racetrack a few years ago.

Workshop
Kevin Ruh has been strengthening the Speedbox workshop from July 1st, 2022.
As an all-rounder with mechanical flair, it fits perfectly into the Speedbox team.
In addition to motorcycles, "large" tattoos are part of his passion.

Suspension & engine department
Nicola strengthens our team with his many years of experience as a motorcycle mechanic.
Already in previous years he worked with David as an apprentice.
In addition to fast motorcycles, his passion is even faster bikes!!
Motorcycling is far too beautiful to be left to the men alone.
Aki
Showroom and catering
After 20 years of marriage to Mauri, Akiko “Aki” Bäumle understands it all too well to steer him in the right direction with her charming Japanese manner. In the Speedbox she welcomes all customers with open arms and ensures a family atmosphere as well as good food at the Speedbar. At the events, she takes care of the detailed planning - without Aki, our event team would have starved several times or even turned up at the location without equipment. Every company needs a good soul, and Aki is ours.
Riding a motorcycle is like flying - complete freedom.
Roger
Partner and Ambassador
Roger Frei is a co-founder, partner and Speedbox fan from the very beginning. He is on the racetracks of the world and likes everything that is fast and has two or four wheels. He must first test whether three are okay - but with his open and personable manner he would certainly be only too happy to get involved.
